The Art of Breathing - Free Online Course

by Zahir Akram - Eternal Seeker

Let’s start with this: breathing isn’t a wellness hack or a trending technique. It’s the first thing we did when we arrived into the world—and it’ll be the last thing we do when we leave. But somewhere along the way, in between the rushing, scrolling, slouching, and stressing… we forgot how to do it properly. In a way that promotes health—both physical and mental.

That’s why I created this free mini course: The Art of Breathing. To help you remember. It’s not everything—just a small doorway back into your breath. But it’s something. Something real. Something useful. And something I hope gives you more than just information. I hope it gives you a shift. A shift in perspective. A shift in how you feel on the mat, and in how you show up off it.

This course isn’t about jargon or gimmicks. It’s not just big words, there are videos explaining the process that will give you (at least I hope anyway) a simplified guide to breathing. It’s a lived experience. A reminder that the way you breathe affects every system in your body—from your posture to your nervous system, from your energy levels to your peace of mind.

If this mini course stirs something in you—if it makes you curious to go deeper, to understand the science, the history, and the practical tools that truly change lives—I’ve built a full course for that. But there’s no pressure. Start here. See what you feel.

Let’s rewind for a second. Breathing didn’t begin as a mindfulness technique. It began as an evolutionary marvel. As our bodies grew more complex, as we moved more, hunted, fought, and created language, we needed more oxygen. So our breath evolved. It started with the nose—designed to filter, warm, and optimise airflow. But nature gave us a backup: the mouth. Why? Because congestion, injury, or environment might block the nose. If we couldn’t breathe through the mouth as a last resort, we’d be dead. So the mouth stepped in, but it was never supposed to lead.

Now? It leads. We live in a world of pollution, allergies, anxiety, poor posture, open mouths, and shallow breath. And we wonder why we feel scattered, tired, foggy. The yogis told us centuries ago—nasal breathing keeps us in rhythm. It regulates not just oxygen and carbon dioxide, but mind and body. Physical and metaphysical.

If you’ve done this free intro, you’ll already know—there’s something here. Something that shifts how you feel. But there’s still so much more to learn.

Just like lifting weights makes you stronger for everyday life, breathing exercises train your respiratory muscles, improve endurance, and reset the nervous system. You don’t do them to breathe weird forever. You do them so that when you’re not thinking about it, your body breathes well—on its own. Efficiently. Quietly. With balance.

The full course doesn’t drown you in jargon. I’ve stripped the science back, made it digestible, and added in what most courses miss: the context. We go into how breathing works in different yoga styles, different postures, different bodies. We cover how the great teachers of the past approached breath—not as performance, but as presence.

You’ll learn breathing myths, how yoga classes often get it wrong, and why it matters. You’ll get techniques you’ve probably never tried before. You’ll even find out what lion’s breath is actually for—and whether it works.

And always, we bring it back to real life. Brain function. Mental clarity. Energy. Recovery. Longevity.

For £99, you’ll walk away with more than knowledge. You’ll walk away with understanding. And if you're a teacher, you’ll be able to pass that on. Because nothing matters more than helping someone breathe better. It’s the one thing they’ll do every minute for the rest of their lives.
