Dear Yoga Teacher,
If you’ve ever stood in front of a class and wondered
“Am I actually helping this person?” - then this is for you.
My name is Zahir Akram, and for years (in my early days) I taught yoga with a quiet fear.
I had certificates.
I had trainings.
But when real bodies showed up - stiff hips, sore backs, painful shoulders -
I realised I was mostly guessing. I knew pose shapes. I knew muscle names.
But I didn’t know how to read what was happening in front of me. I couldn't put it all together.
So I did what most teachers do - I memorised more cues. And the more I memorised, the less confident I became.
Until I stopped collecting cues and started understanding how bodies actually move.
That changed everything.
Suddenly I could see why one student struggled in a pose while another felt fine.
Why something looked “wrong” - but was actually just human variation.
That’s what became The Anatomy Blueprint.
It doesn’t teach anatomy like a textbook.
It teaches you how to see:
• how joints really move
• how structure shapes poses
• how breath and the nervous system change flexibility
• how to cue from what’s in front of you, not a script
The result?
You stop second-guessing. Your cues make sense.
And most important of all, Your students trust you with their bodies.
The reviews below speak for themselves.
This is the missing piece most trainings never give you.

Me in my early years disguising my imposter syndrome. Did I really know what I was cueing?

I studied Anatomy for 25 years to make this simplistic for you.

That's me putting theory into practise. I have been teaching and refining my Anatomy Blueprint since 2013

before
after
• Wondering if your cues actually make anatomical sense
• Worrying you might be hurting someone without realising
• Hiding behind flows, music, and choreography
• Feeling like everyone else knows more than you
• That quiet imposter voice saying “I should know this by now”
• Someone your students trust with their bodies
• Knowing why a pose works and when it doesn’t
• Being able to explain pain instead of avoiding it
• Teaching Yoga from understanding, not imitation
• Feeling confident when a student asks about their body
Here's what you get when you enroll today:
This course isn’t just a knowledge dump - it’s a carefully designed progression.
You’ll start with an understanding of human variation, anatomical variability, and from there, we strip away the myths and rebuild a complete understanding of anatomy - as it relates to Yoga.

The Complete Yoga Anatomy Blueprint™
100+ Video & Written Lessons on how to:
Understand the major joints of the body - so you can see clearly how a pose is meant to look and feel
Recognise real HUMAN VARIATION - and stop forcing everyone into the same shape which (blends science & tradition)
Build sequences based on ANATOMY, not just because they “flow”
Adapt poses for BACK PAIN, tight hips, and stiff shoulders without guessing as most modifications cause more harm than good
Use relatable anatomical language with your students so you can help guide them safely
Become the teacher than your students will always remember for all the right reasons
& so much more.
These two resources below are what turn knowledge into real-world teaching
Most yoga teachers learn anatomy in theory…
but struggle to apply it when a real human body shows up in front of them.
That’s why the Anatomy Blueprint includes two practical tools that do the heavy lifting for you:
• One shows you exactly what’s happening inside common yoga poses
• The other shows you how the body really works when pain, limitation, or fear appear
Together, they’re what allow you to stop guessing - and start teaching with confidence.

The Pose Vault
A Deep Dive
A clear, practical breakdown of the yoga poses you teach every week - showing what the joints are doing, why certain cues help or harm, and how to modify safely so your students get the benefits without unnecessary strain.
A deeper but simple look at the anatomy that most teachers were never taught - including LOWER BACK PAIN, the psoas, and how evolution shaped the spine - so you can finally understand what’s happening beneath the surface when your students struggle.

"I did my teacher training in Bali, but the anatomy never made sense to me. Zahir’s way of explaining it is clear, practical, and makes everything finally make sense.
Only now do I truly feel confident enough to be the kind of teacher I’ve always wanted to be."

Om Yoga Magazine - Yoga Teacher of the Year 2024

I’ve dedicated half my life to understanding what makes us who - and what - we are.
My studies have taken me from anatomy to philosophy - from the ancient Greeks, who first dissected the human body, to the yogis who remind us that we are not the body at all. That journey has carried me from my parents’ birthplace in Kashmir, through the bustling streets of Calcutta, to the quiet, expansive landscapes of Nepal.
Along the way, I’ve broken things down (quite literally) from the mechanics of breathing to the complex, often misunderstood nature of the human skeleton.
I’ve studied anatomy and movement for over 25 years, working as a Personal Trainer throughout that time. My education includes the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the London School of Osteopathy, and years of experience as a senior yoga teacher, studio owner, and exercise physiologist.
What drives my work is translating complicated science into something practical and usable. You’ll see that reflected in my teaching, and in my Instagram and YouTube content, where anatomy is explored through movement rather than memorisation.
My aim is simple: to help you understand anatomy in a way that gives you clarity, confidence, and trust in your own teaching - so you’re no longer guessing, copying cues, or doubting yourself in front of students.
That is my promise to you.
