About
Most yoga teachers repeat what they were taught: āTake a deep breath.ā āInhale up, exhale down.ā āNever hold the breath.ā These cues sound safe, but the truth is they can create tension, starve the body of calm, and even agitate the nervous system. The danger isnāt just in the myths. The danger is in believing we already know. Without clarity, yoga risks becoming performance - poses without breath, shapes without meaning. Science shows us what tradition always knew: carbon dioxide isnāt waste, pauses between breaths are sacred, and sometimes silence heals more than sound. Yet few teachers understand how to apply this in class. Thatās why I created the Science of Breathing in Yoga CPD. This training takes you beyond repetition into real understanding. Youāll learn how to balance ancient wisdom with modern research, how to cue breath without jargon, and how to guide students into practices that regulate the nervous system instead of agitating it. This is not about jargon. Itās about becoming the teacher who knows why, not just how. The teacher who students never forget - because you made them feel safe enough to truly breathe. The breath was the first thing you did when you were born. It will be the last thing you do before you die. Everything in between is practice. š The question is: will you keep repeating, or will you finally know?
