"I went in knowing nothing about the lumbar spine. I came out with a clear framework for every back pain student I'll ever teach."
- Michelle, Yoga Therapist

Who is this for?
For Students -
If back pain has left you questioning what you can do in yoga, this day gives you space to ask questions, explore different approaches and understand more about your body. We’ll work towards rebuilding confidence in movement, with practical options you can take into your own practice.

Having suffered with my own lower back, i've studied and trained clients for the past 25 years.

Spine Anatomy is not complicated when it's looked at for what it is, and NOT what we want it to be.
For yoga teachers
A modification isn’t automatically helpful just because a pose looks gentler. The same adjustment can help one student and aggravate another’s symptoms, so we need to understand more than a list of generic modifications.
This course will help you understand the spine, question the reasoning behind familiar cues and explore how to adapt movement to the student in front of you, with clearer guidance and greater confidence in your teaching.
The teaching hours can be used towards your continuing professional development.
