11 July 2020 -
We are so pleased to be opening our doors after the Government announced that gyms and indoor studios can re-open for business. We cannot wait to get back to doing what we love. Teaching Yoga :)
To conform with Government guidelines and for your safety we are making some changes to the way the studio is run. Here we outline our new studio rules.
1 - The class sizes have been reduced to 17 participants per class. This allows us to space the mats 1m away from each other which are the guidelines set by the World Health Organisation.
2 - Due to the reduced capacity, some classes will have big waiting lists, for this reason you can now only book 7 days in advance. The cancellation period is now 4 hours meaning if you cancel within 4 hours of the class you have booked, you will lose this session or if you have a monthly pass, you will be charged £13. In the past we have not been so strict on this but with the reduced numbers, the studio cannot sustain itself financially if we do not apply these strict rules.
3 - Annual Memberships and Monthly memberships will temporarily be limited to attending 4 classes per week. This again is to allow the studio to be financially viable whilst our attendance is reduced.
6 - We ask that all students wear masks on arrival and keep their masks on whilst putting bags away, using the loo etc. The mask can be removed when in class and we ask that you put your mask back on after class. We are aiming for the 1m social distance rules at all times but there will be times (like going up the stairs) that this isn't possible. So wearing masks will just ensure everyone feels safe.
7 - Government guidelines are that you change before you come to the studio to limit the use of the changing rooms. Please bring with you as little as possible. You can leave your phone/keys in your shoes at the shoe rack if you wish to avoid the changing rooms (we still have a strictly no phones policy in the main studio).
8 - The showers will be unavailable for the time being unless in exceptional circumstances or for NHS staff who are travelling to work after class.
9 - All props have been removed so please bring your own if you wish to use them.
10 - Our towel rules is the same as before Covid. We ask that you bring your own mat or yoga towel and that it be big enough to cover the mat space we provide. We sell yoga towels for £25. Anyone attending without a towel and cannot purchase one will not be able to attend the class.
11 - Most importantly, if you are feeling unwell, please don't come to the studio, even if your symptoms are mild. If you arrive at a studio and appear unwell, you may be asked to return once you have recovered.
If you have any questions, please email -
See you on the 25th!
4 - Each student will have their temperature checked upon arrival using a non-contact forehead thermometer.
5 - We have newly placed hand sanitizers at reception and outside the studio. We ask that you clean your hands thoroughly when you arrive and again before entering the studio.
Booking your class at our studio couldn't be any easier. View our price list and select an option to purchase.
If you don't have time to book, don't worry. Just turn up and we will find you a mat.
